Public Works Director

Summary:
Under policy direction from the City Administrator the Public Works Director plans and manages City public works and utilities, related activities and functions and provides professional assistance to City management in related areas of expertise such as engineering, municipal water distribution and treatment, wastewater collection and treatment, solid waste collection, fleet management and street maintenance, capital improvement projects, and related fiscal budget development and management.
Experience:
At least ten (10) years utility-related work experience including at least three (3) years of successful management and supervisory experience required. Public utility experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required, post secondary education in civil engineering or related courses preferred. Certifications for treatment, distribution and collection of water and wastewater preferred.
